Redmi K20 - Killer 2.0

Amidst the excitement and flurry of flagships in the month of May, Redmi has dropped a bomb. It is set to launch its premium flagship device, the Redmi K20. What's in store for it, let's find out!

The Initial Dig of Redmi K20 

So, it all started with Redmi taking a dig at OnePlus, who has recently launched the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 pro. The Twitter handle said," Congratulations OnePlus, we heard about your new flagship. Regards, Flagship Killer 2.0."

Specifications

The Redmi K20 is expected to have a 6.39 inch AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla glass 6. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 along with Adreno GPU 640. Mind you, the phone has an outstanding AnTuTu score, 458754 to be precise. It is assumed to be prepped up with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.

As for the design, the phone will have a full-screen display with a pop-up camera. There are no leaks about the build quality yet. It will be powered by MIUI 10 on top of Android Pie and is also expected to have beta support for Android Q out of the box.

As for the camera, the rear camera is a 48 MP camera with Sony IMX586 sensor. It is expected to be a triple camera, the configuration of the other 2 cameras unknown. The front camera is expected to be of 32 MP, as seen in the Redmi Y3. Meanwhile, it is yet to see where the camera stands against the OnePlus 7 pro.

As for the battery, the company has revealed that it would sport a 4000 mAH battery, which is not new for Redmi smartphones but is expected to be accompanied by a 27W fast charger, as seen in the Mi 9.

Launch of Redmi K20

Soon within a couple of says, the phone is going to be launched in China on 28th May, at 11:30 am IST. It is expected to launch for a price around Rs.30000. We'll see whether it's really the flagship killer or not. Till then, we let the leaks prep up the excitement around the K20.
