Android Pie Update or any update is the keenest thing Android users look forward too. Yes, Android Q is on its way from Google. Meanwhile, OnePlus has made Android Pie Community Beta available for OnePlus 3/3T. You might be thinking what's so great? The thing is OnePlus 3/3T are 3-year-old devices and it is indeed always good to companies support such old devices. OnePlus 3/3T is very one of the few devices which have received 3 Major Android Updates.

You can taste Pie on your OnePlus 3/3T right now by following the link (If you follow Method I: there is no Apps or Data loss.) We have tried out the same and here's what we have got to say within 24 hours usage.

Disclaimer: Community Beta Builds isn't Stable Builds. There might be bugs present which one needs to bear. If you can bear them, proceed ahead.

The process is pretty simple, just download the zip from the link, place it in the root directory and go to system updates section, followed by 3-dot menu, then click on local upgrade and select the zip. The device will start flashing the build. It may take around 30 mins maximum until your device boots up.

Meanwhile, here's our Community Letter for OnePlus

What's New

With the new Android Pie Community Beta, you get a lot of new features from Android Pie. There is a lot whole of new things right from new animations, system apps redesigned, UI changes and much much more.

The build is mostly fine and we haven't found any major bugs which may be a deal breaker in daily usage. The battery backup is pretty same, if not a tat better. It depends on your usage. We managed to gather around 4 hours + SOT with 8 hour day.

Everything feels fresh, especially the new caller screen looks great. The animations feel a bit longer in comparison but that is the thing with Android P itself.

Opinions

If you are someone who is using the Oneplus 3/3T, and anxiously wants to taste Android Pie you should give it a shot. The build is stable with negligible minor bugs. It is not bugless yet. If you are a nitpicker you should wait for OTA update, else you are good to go.

OnePlus 3/3T users, have you tried out the Community Beta? Let me know about your experience in the comments below.
