The Black Shark 2 has a 6.39 inch AMOLED display with 1080×2340 pixels Full HD+ resolution. It is not a full-screen display, but it has no notch either. The device has a 240 Hz touch refresh rate, which is the lowest refresh rate found in any mobile on the earth! It packs a touch or pressure sensitive display similar to Apple's 3d touch. The phone also has an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Coming to performance, the Black Shark 2 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. It has Liquid cool 3.0 technology and a vapour cooling chamber system, to keep the internal system from heating due to hardcore gaming. The phone runs JoyUI on top of Android 9 Pie, which is very similar to stock Android and packed with gaming features like Shark space, 100% CPU for gaming, Super-theater mode, etc.

Talking about the design, it's a rugged or rigid phone, but at the same time, it looks damn sleek! Black Shark 2 has RGB lights on three sides of the phone. It has a triple microphone setup and stereo speakers. It also has a redesigned antenna setup; i X type antenna + 2 side antennas to boost network performance while playing online games. Speaking about the camera, the phone has a 48 MP primary camera + 12 MP depth camera with 2x optical zoom. The front camera is of 20 MP.

As far as the battery is concerned, the phone has a 4000 mAH battery, with a 27W charger, which can juice up 60% of the battery in 30 minutes.

Black shark is part of Xiaomi's ecosystem, and they work together in China. But as much as they are partners, Black Shark operates independently. And in India, the Black Shark is launching as an independent device and not under Xiaomi, as clarified by the latter. It is still unclear whether Black Shark will use Xiaomi's supply chain and supremacy to play in the Indian market.
