Xiaomi Mi 6X With SD660, Full Screen Display is Official for 1,599 Yuan (~$253)
Xiaomi announced Mi 6X as the successor to the last year's mid-range Mi 5X. Compared to its predecessor Mi 6X comes with improvements like trendy 18:9 full-screen display, dual rear cameras and one of the cheapest to equip with Snapdragon 660 chipset.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X is made of unibody aluminum, like the Mi 5X. Xiaomi has to sacrifice 3.5mm jack to slim the device to 7.3mm. The antenna bands are hidden at the top and bottom, and the fingerprint sensor and the vertical dual cameras are placed on the back of the device.The topside of the Mi 6X features an IR blaster while the bottom side has a USB-C port that separates the two external speakers.
The phone is equipped with an 18:9 aspect ratio IPS LCD display of 5.99 inches and delivers a Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels.
It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 SOC. The Snapdragon 660 features four Kryo 260 cores clocked at 2.2GHz (based on Cortex-A73) and four Kryo 260 cores clocked at 1.8GHz (based on Cortex-A53). The cores are paired with the Adreno 512 GPU, which is more powerful than the Adreno 509 of the Snapdragon 636 that can be found on Redmi Note 5(China)/5Pro.

It is available in 5 different colors namely Black, Gold, Rose Gold, Blue, and Red color variants.
Pricing and Availability
Most of the Snapdragon 660 smartphones available in the market are priced around 3,000 Yuan (~$475) but the highest configuration 128 GB Xiaomi Mi 6X variant that has 6 GB of RAM carries a price tag of 1,999 Yuan (~$316) only. The 64 GB Mi 6X models with 4 GB of RAM and 6 GB of RAM are respectively priced at 1,599 Yuan (~$253) and 1,799 Yuan (~$285).
We expect that Xiaomi will launch this device globally as Mi A2 under the Android One program as the company as previously launched Mi 5X as Mi A1 Globally.
