All the Jio's Announced at Reliance AGM
Ever since the launch of Jio, Reliance Annual General Meet's(AGM) has become a must watch for tech news. Continuing the tradition of last year's AGM where the company has announced the Jio Phone, now also at today's meet company has announced several products under Jio.
1.Jio Phone 2
Last years, Jio phone broke all records to become the best selling feature phone in the country. Now, the company has announced the upgraded iteration of it Jio Phone 2.
The phone comes with several improvements and new features, with the first significant change being QWERTY keyboard that makes the typing a lot faster than the previous versions T9 keyboard.
It featured a 2.4-inch QVGA display (320×240 pixels) and equipped with 512mb RAM and 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded by up to 128GB via an SD card. It packs a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front camera for selfies and video calling. The device runs on KaiOS and derives its power from a 2,000mAh battery. It offers native support for 24 Indian languages.
Connectivity options include support for Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and NFC to aid for mobile payments potentially. Cellular connectivity provides support for VoLTE, as well as LTE Cat4 (150 Mbps download, 50 Mbps upload) on Band 2, 5 and 40. It also supports 2G on 900 and 1,800MHz frequencies.
The device will cost ₹2,999 and will be available to buy from August 15, and the exciting part is that it comes preloaded with WhatsApp, Facebook and YouTube, among other Jio apps.
WhatsApp and Youtube will be made available to the original phone after August 15.

The company also said that the installation would be done under an hour and the registration for the JioGigaFiber broadband service will begin on August 15, and the process will go live on the MyJio app and the official Jio website. The company also dropped hints about its intentions to bring smart home devices under Jio's umbrella, and the recent acquisition of Radisys by Reliance solidifies it.2.Jio GigaFiber, GigaRouter & GigaTV
