Samsung Galaxy M Series Announced
GaWhen you hear of M series or M-powered, the first thing which comes to your mind is BMW cars. BMW has a line up of M series cars, which is a performance sports model of the regular models. Samsung has taken a cue from BMW and will be launching it's M series phones in India on January 28.
The Samsung Galaxy M Series smartphones are a budget offering from Samsung. The smartphones will be targeted at 'young millennial's' and feature 'powerful' displays, cameras, batteries, and processors. The company also confirmed the Galaxy M-Series smartphones would be available both via Amazon India and the Samsung Online Shop. The Galaxy M-Series is rumoured to include three phones - Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20, and Galaxy M30 - all in different price segments.

The India-made phones, priced from less than Rs. 10,000 up to Rs. 20,000, will carry chunkier batteries and features such as quick charging. The phone is made by carrying out extensive research in the consumer market. Samsung's market share has decreased drastically in the budget segment, and the top isn't at its best either.
The announcement of the new India-focused phones comes as Samsung is under intense pressure from Chinese rivals in the country. According to data from Counterpoint, Xiaomi overtook Samsung’s Indian market share in Q4 2017 and held as much as a five-point lead as of Q3 2018. The phone will feature an Infinity-V teardrop display. OnePlus6T has the same notched display style. It is the most less disruptive notched display in the industry till date.
M20 Leaked
A leaked M20 manual hints that the phones will feature a face unlock feature, USB type-C, NFC with a Full-HD display.

A 5,000 mAh battery which rivals Asus Zenfone Max Pro M Series phones, while the M20 measures 156.4 x 74.5 x 8.8 mm and weighs 183g. The rear cameras are a 13 MP unit with f/1.9 aperture and 1.12μm pixels, as well as a secondary 5 MP shooter for depth information. Powering the device is Samsung's Exynos 7885 SoC, aided by 3GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of storage. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo. The entire Galaxy M series is expected to launch in India first, where it will be exclusive to Amazon.
The M series phones can be a game changer from Samsung and can prove to be a competition in the already tougher budget smartphone market.
