[Update] Asus Zenfone Max M2 & M2 Pro Specifications surface online

Update: asusid ( Asus Indonesia Instagram handle ) posted a video teasing the new smartphone. Breaking down the teaser we can confirm a few features. First in the list is support for Fast Charging, the phone will be gamer-centric, which means it will prioritize performance and last but not the least, the release date for the device has been confirmed ( Only for Indonesia ). It will be making its debut on 11th of December in a launch event in Indonesia.

Asus Zenfone Max M2 & M2 Pro specifications have made their way to the internet through a tweet from Roland Quandt (@rquandt). These will be the second generation devices from Asus Zenfone Max M Series line-up. Earlier this year Asus unveiled its Asus Zenfone Max M1 & M1 Pro devices which were very well received by the consumers. Asus is primarily trying to capture the market share which is currently held by Xiaomi. By following the same strategy as that of the competitor, good hardware but with stock Android.

Asus Zenfone Max M2 & M2 Pro Specifications

There will be two different variants competing at different price ranges. The base model, Asus Zenfone Max M2 ZB633KL will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon SD636 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM. As for storage, we will have 32/64 GB options. There's also a mention of the dual camera, which according to our understanding means that there's a single 13MP camera on the back. There's no information for the front sensor.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 ZB631KL will be the high-end offering from Asus will. It will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon SD660 mobile chip coupled with 4/6GB of RAM and 64/128GB storage options. The device will have a dual rear camera setup and a single front camera. The rear camera will have a 13MP sensor + Unknown Sensor combo. Both the devices will sport a 6” FHD+ Display Panel.

Roland Quandt further added to his tweet saying that the Display Size, Storage & Camera sensors are not confirmed. Both the device will be making their way to India pretty soon.

Asus has definitely changed the Mid-range smartphone game by introducing the Max M series in India & now looking at the specifications of Max M2 & M2 Pro we are up for another battle between Xiaomi & Asus.
