In the past, Google had done the same for Ola/Uber. If you are using Google Maps you could order a Cab right away from Search Navigation option! Wohooo, it's time to do the same for food now.

Availability to Order Food

This feature is currently only available in the US. Google has partnered with several online food delivery services such as DoorDash, Postmates, Delivery.com, Slice, Chow Now and much more. Others like Zuppler would be added too in the future. We don't know if this feature would be rolled out to other countries or not. Currently, there is no news about other countries getting the same.

Placing the order is easy. All you need to do is trigger your Google Assistant the way you want. Eg: Ok Google, Order food from Restaurant XYZ" and it will display the menu. Wondering how to pay? You can use Google Pay to make payment to the restaurant. This means you don't have search into your wallet for your CVVs and Card details.

Really, this feature seems really useful and convenient for all of us. Thus, this finally puts an end to download individual apps for ordering food. What do you think about it? Do you find it useful? Let us know in the comments below.
