At last, Vivo launches its much-expected budget smartphone in India - the Vivo Y12. It is launched after several delays as it was expected to launch last month. Can this one give a punch in the budget market? Let's find out!

The Vivo Y12 is powered by Mediatek Helio P22 chipset. The phone features FunTouchOS 9 on top of Android 9 Pie. It also features an ultra gaming mode similar to Oppo's GameSpace. The build quality is polycarbonate, with a fingerprint sensor mounted on its back.

Coming to the display, the device sports a 6.35-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1544 pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 19.3:9. The screen to body ratio is an impressive 89%. The screen features a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera.

The main attraction of this device is its triple camera setup in this price segment. The device features a 13 MP primary camera with an aperture of f/2.2 + 8 MP superwide lens with an aperture of f/2.2 + 5 MP depth camera with an aperture of f2.4. The triple cameras pack several features like live photo, bokeh mode, HDR, beauty, pro mode, doc scan, palm capture and more. On the front is an 8 MP camera embedded in the waterdrop notch with an aperture of f/1.8 and also packing features like palm capture, HDR, portrait mode, live photo, AI beauty and panorama.
