While the smartphone makers are busy shaping the notches on their devices a report claims that Samsung display is working to break the ugly Notch trend. If you are following Samsung on the social media, you would have already known that Samsung hates the notch and recently mocked the gigantic notch on the Google's Pixel 3 XL.

The front facing camera sensor is a significant hurdle for the smartphones to become bezel-less, they need to be moved from the top of the phone to achieve complete bezel-less, and some manufacturers have made it using the sliding mechanism which is found in Vivo Nex, Oppo Find X and the Upcoming Mi Mix 3.

Now, the Korean giant's display arm, Samsung Display is reportedly working on the tech that moves the camera under the display much like the under-display fingerprint sensors.

Samsung Display held the "2018 Samsung OLED forum" with about 20 invites where it talked about some under-display features, including in-display fingerprint scanners, screen sound technology, touch-sensitive areas, and under-screen cameras. As the tech is in its early stages we might not be able to experience it till 2020, but who knows if it makes a debut on Galaxy S10

If everything goes as planned it would be a major tech breakthrough in the smartphones segment.
